T9 Editor for CDMA Phones (LG 8100)

Ok, I'm looking for a T9 Editor program that you can use to easily manipulate the T9 dictionary on my LG 8100. I've found software for Smartphones, but it uses a dictionary file ending in "udb" and not "dat." MST9Ed has an easy interface that will list the words in the dictionary, and a button for Delete, with a field to enter new words into the file. The Hex Editor process for the t9udb_eng.dat file is horrid, and there are words in my phone's dictionary that the Hex editor doesn't even find.

Has anyone run across any software that can be used with the 8100 that would make this easier?

Many thanks.

I'm seconding this request, as the black 7000 I just purchased off eBay doesn't have common abbreviations (lol, wtf, qt) and took out some cusses (s**t, f**king) from the dictionary. Would indeed like to edit and add things.

I'm still searching for something that can do this.

Bumping this up, because I think lots of people could have some for this.

not for 8100, but for the 8500 and up, you can use bitpim.

How can I use BitPim to edit my T9? I see the T9 editor but it wont pull the T9 database off the phone. The option is greyed out.

I'm not sure on this one, as I don't have that phone, but here is my educated guess. The reason I mentioned the 8500 could do it was because if you look here you will notice that the 8500 has a W in the T9UDB column. It doesn't have an R, however, so that leads me to believe that you can't pull the data off of the phone, but only send it to the phone. Let me use the key words here, "I think". I could be wrong on this, but that seems to be what the helpfile indicates.

Ok, is there any software (T9 editor) that can actually READ and WRITE to CDMA mobile phones for Verizon like the VX8550? If anyone figures anything out, please tell. THANKS

No such software currently exists. I have spent hours searching. As of January 2008 we are all still out of luck when it comes to this. I have a VX8500 and man, there is no WAY of altering the t9 dictionary. Heck, I can't even ADD words to mine, even with PitPim!
