I'm not sure of the particulars, visit http://forums.cingular.com/cng/board?board.id=cingular for more. I didn't follow the discussion closely because it doesn't affect me.
When I bought the Cingular 8125 I didn't already have MediaNet so I was told I needed a PDA plan. I didn't argue, so I have the $39 plan. Expensive? Yeah, but I canceled my T-Mobile Hotpsot account so it's kinda a wash. I just have to settle for the slower EDGE connection when I'm in Starbucks. :-) |

When I called 611 to have it removed, the rep asked me if I wanted MediaNet instead since it was cheaper ($20 instead of $40) and was still unlimited. I said yes. Now the employees on this forum tell me that I'm gonna get switched over to Pay-Per-Use without my knowledge? What a company! |

Mine is even better...I was ASKING for PDAConnect but the rep told me it was a waste of money and that the MediaNet Unlimited for $20 was exactly the same. I had her make notes on my account that said so!! ![]() Lets see them try taking it away from me now...suckerz. |

The more expensive DATA plans are Cingular’s attempt at load balancing. Comments?

Is this true? |

My connection now is hell slow top 10kbps and I want something like 40-50kbps.
