I have an unlocked Nokia 6230b with v 5.50 (non-branded) firmware that I'm using on Cingular. I can do manual network selection, but of course all of the available networks are called "Cingular" no matter what the actual network is.

Is there a way to make this phone show the actual network name? I did this with a seem edit on my Moto V551, and it came in handy to see which network I was on at the moment (found myself on the AT&T ("Blue") network a lot more often than Cingular would ever admit).

I have network monitor and can check that way, but overriding Cingular's forced name would be nicer.
