NOTE: I will not provide download links because I would be in violation of the rules of this forum. I will only provide a link to a site to read more info on that certain program. NO direct download links will be displayed here. If you want a program, Send me a Private message & we'll see what we can do. Ok, now . . . I use four programs for everything, depending on what I want to do. Read on whatever one you want to use with your razr. NOTE: everything I do with my razr, i do via USB cable. 1. Motorola Phone Tools: To synchronize my phone with my PC and backing up all the contacts, calendar, etc. Also, to add mp3 ringtones. 2. P2K Tools: To add files directly into phone and install games. 3. Knapster's Skinner4Moto: To add, edit and create custom made skins. 4. iTunes: To convert my waves into mp3 format and add them as ringtones using Motorola phone tools. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 1. Motorola Phone Tools: Automatic installation with cd. This will install all the necessary Drivers that you will need for all the programs I mention below. That is why I installed this one first. If you dont use this program, you will need to have the standalone drivers handy when you connect your phone to the computer via USB. DO NOT hook up phone to computer. First install. Then run program and connect phone when instructed. After that . . . have fun backing up all your files! Next time your razr gets stolen, you wont have to lose everything. The ringtone maker is the best I have seen! I made all my favorite songs and even my daughters crying into a ringtone. It only requires the file in mp3 format. See below for mp3 converting info. General Info: http://direct.motorola.com/hellomot..._PhoneTools.asp - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2. P2K Tools Version 0.8.6: I couldn't get it to work because I had my phone plugged in! First start the program, then plugin the phone. It should say your connected and have a green circle showing at the bottom left of the program window. SEcond thing I did wrong before, I thought it wasnt reading my phone because it didn't show anything. YOU MUST refresh each category on the left for the info to show. (refresh each individually; File Manager, KJava, p2kInfo, etc) To add a game: Start program. Then, connect phone. When your phone is connected, Go to the KJava tab on the left. REFRESH the page. It will then show any games intalled in your phone. To delete any, select it, and click Uninstall. To add a game choose Install. You will then be prompted to find the jar file you want to add. Find and select the game jar file you want to add (you do not need to have the jad file). It will then install it. Install all the games you want to add. When you are done, Restart your phone and you're set! WARNING! If you add mods (modifications) to your phone's system directly, it will no longer be covered by the warranty! Mods are for those that dont have the warranty. If you have warranty. Don't mess with the original files, you can only use the install/remove games feature in this program I think (if you're a pro at the warranty legalities, please enlighten us in this matter. I might be wrong, so I just decided not to take a chance. I dont really apply mods) More info: http://wiki.howardforums.com/motoro...p/General_Terms - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 3. Knapster's Skinner4Moto: Simply install and use. First time started, you must go into options and choose your phone model. Go into website to find out if your phone is compatible. My razr is. Home Page 4 more info: http://www.knapster.de/skinner4moto...er/skinner.html - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 4. iTunes: This is a free program. MOst people think its only for iPods or the newest phones that come equipped to handle iTunes. My 3v razr is not compatible for playing music like that but I use this as an MP3 converter. It is free! Why pay for a converter? Ok. WHen you install the program, it is by default set to convert any/all music into the iTunes extention (acc I think its called). Go to Edit>Preferences and click on the Advanced tab. Under Importing, choose import using MP3 encoder. Have the setting to 128kbps or 192kbps. Click OK. Now view any songs you have in iTunes. Right click the desired song and choose, "convert selection to mp3" and WALLA! Home Page: http://www.apple.com/itunes/ Hope this helps. ![]() |

.jad/.jar files are Java, is Java supported by the Motorola E815, or is Java support just disabled by Verizon? Also, what are BREW format & apps? Looked through all the forums I could find, still unsure. Thanks |

And truthfully, asking detailed information on these verizon phones should not be in this thread for installing games. The info you want is out there. Try using a search on hofo or google or phonescoop or hellomoto |
, the truth is I have been out of the motorola community for the past 2 months due to exams. However my exams are done and I'm back ready to provide more guides for you, game sites and also the long expected Games newbie guide 2
