Can't Upload Seem File to v557

OK, I got Moto Tool and edited the seem file to change my outer LCD display. The ONLY reason I even want to do this is because a former owner put a curse word on it, and having a 9-yr-old son, I don't really want this on there. Anyhow, so I'm an unwitting modding newbie.

I've tried P2KMan and P2KTools, but they won't connect to my phone at all (except for P2KTools in AT mode, which doesn't apparently do what I need it to do). What am I doing wrong? I know the cable works because I got Mobile Phone Tools to work. But unfortunately it won't edit the outer display. Can someone help? I'm going crazy here! And yes, I've searched here and motomodders, but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And yes, I tried the uninstall the Motorola USB Modem drivers and reinstalling from the P2K drv directory. I connected once, but it won't work anymore.

K never mind, I got it to work!
