There is a new theme from Plazmic available for those who are interested. If you point your BlackBerry browser to http://mobile.blackberry.com you can download the new Smoothie theme.

Screen shot?

I checked and its called the Smoothie theme (for 71xx). Looks like a standard icon theme.

It's for the 8700 too. I just downloaded it. They say it's "smooth and clean". It's not frills. Doesn't even have a wallpaper, just a plain white background.

Good if you like a very plain theme.

The theme is ok, not the best out there for sure... What got my eye more was that you can get gtalk for your blackberry now...

It will work on the 7250 as well, but it is too "Bubblegum Style" for me.

I still prefer the Zen theme the best.

I just wish that they do not forget the older styles, the 72XX series wants Zen too. At the Plazmic site there is talk of incorporating support for the Zen style in a new release they just do not say when that will be.

I downloaded and installed the new theme. I then went to change the font and it only seems to change the font for the datebook and not all of the usual apps (datebook, address book, tasks, etc.). The other themes do accomplish this but this new one does not.......?

Only the themes that come with the BB allow you to do that, the new themes created with Plazmic do not and it is a known issue that Plazmic is looking to address. By the way this new theme is a plazmic theme.

I tried the smoothie theme and didn't like it at all. It made the font in the message screen too big and it would cut off half of the time if it was an double digit hour (ie. 10,11,12 o'clock). No matter what I set the font at it would always be too big. It would only change the font within actual messages.

Does it completely remove the wallpaper option altogether?

If so, then I say.... SCREW THAT!

A BlackBerry without a wallpaper image just looks !

Personally I don't like the Smoothie theme at all. I recently removed it from the BlackBerry.
