Battery life expectancy

I got my Audiovox SMT5600 in October 2005. I do not make or receive a lot of calls, don't use data. By the end of the day the battery can be as low as 75-80% depending on how much I fiddle around with it and listen to MP3s and I recharge daily.
I'm just curious as to the life expectancy of the battery as I was thinking of ordering another one for backup.

You have 75-80% left, or have used 75-80%?
Playing MP3's and "fiddle"-ing is using data... which requires the device to be active, which use's battery power...
Specs indicate a 240min talktime from a full (new) battery, so standby is probably around 500-600 hours... but playing MP3's and doing other things (not beinging online/talking) will take the time down to about 100-200 hours standby...
So, if at the end of the day, you have 75-80% left, you have a damn good battery... if you have 25-20% left, still, that's a good battery... you might want to concider getting a cheap MP3 player instead... maybe just a small one... like 512MB...

I have 75-80% of battery left at the end of the day. Fiddling for me is not using data but calendar, a game, playing MP3s, Smartphonenotes, etc. When I say life of the battery, that is exactly what I mean. How long will it eventually take the battery to no longer work as in when will I need to buy a replacement battery.

Using the calendar, playing a game, and playing MP3's is using data... using processing power... if you have 75% left at the end of the day, that's a good battery... it will last about a year before it's dead by the end of the day...
