Am I the only one upset that Siemens/BenQ is not going have a cellular presence in N. America?

Nope. Depending on the UI and if it had 850MHz support, I'd really want an S88.

That's wrong. BenQ Mobile have announced that the US will be their one of their priority markets in 2007.

Thats absolutely true. Siemens mobile doesnt exist in North America anymore.

Thats why you WILL be seeing BenQ-Siemens phones in the US and Canada.

Yes indeed. Don't mix Siemens Mobile and the new BenQ Mobile

BenQ Mobile are entering US in 2007. Their main focus forward will be on high-end handsets, so hopefully you can expect some goodies.

There is a US networks (GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900) version of the BenQ-Siemens EF51, as seen in its Datasheet (German only, sorry):

Lol, SE have NEVER done any innovations and are always lagging behind. Siemens have done loads and are still the first with many technologies on phones.

I forgot the P51, which is Quadband with 850 Network included.

Windows Mobile 5.0, Qwerty, Wi-Fi, GPS, 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen etc.
