SLVR L7 - Does MPT allow for higher quality mp3 ringtones??

I know how to make ringtones, and how to crop them, etc., but Motorola Phone Tools slaughters the song by automatically converting it to 32kbs to save space on the phone. Is there any way I can chose a higher bitrate to save my tones as? Why have such a beautiful sounding speaker on the phone if you can't show it off...

Yeah, don't use MPT to load the MP3's. Use P2KTools or P2KCommander, or use a bluetooth dongle.

Well I've just spent an hour researching all this stuff, downloading various P2k programs and reading about them, and I still haven't the faintest idea how to get them to work or how to use them. I'm not entirely technologically illiterate, but this stuff seems so complex.
The only thing I want to be able to do is have higher quality cropped mp3 tones on my phone. Are there any specific tools/programs that someone can suggest for this?

Use the file transfer option instead...
