Ok here goes another question. I am on ebay looking to buy a mpt disc and cable. It says that it is a *oem* here is the link

Ok so here is the question, first off what the heck is oem (can you tell i'm new yet)

Second will this cable charge my phone from my pc and will i be able to put my own (not paid for) ring tones on my phone once I have this or will i have to use some kind of hacking tool and possibaly (most likely) ruin my phone.

If you could help I would appreciate it.

it will/can charge your phone, although prolonged charging via usb is not recommended...you can upload your own ringtones to your phone...no hacking necessary...you might want to search on here for "mpt v3c" if you run into any problems...

also, are you using a v3c or a v3? reason i ask, you have cingular listed as you provider and they don't have the v3c, just the v3...
