Phone call today from a dealer, we are based in Atlanta fyi. Has a customer that went to dallas and picked up a samsung zx-10. Doesn't have any data package. Some how has had the phone for a month or close to it. Bill came yesterday, its.......wait for it...........................$846.57. All media net charges, rate plan, and standard features. Dealer asks what should I tell him. Response,
good luck with that. When will we learn.

Based on our new policies C/S shouldn't have a problem with helping out with those charges. Wasn't the customer's fault.
One thing I want to say though about our data plans, that I find funny, smartphones are treated as PDAs and require 39.99 for PDA connect...even if you only need the media net services. Our 3g phones are gonna be able to DL gigabyte upon gigabye of usage but only require 19.99 for media net UNL. Oh, it's silly how they come up with these rules.
Anyway, 800+ is a lot in media net charges. I had a call a couple of days ago with a guy who just upgraded to an audiovox 5600...last month his bill was 1000+, this month it was 900+...that's just crazy!

Smartphones aren't treated like pda's. If you buy a smartphone (2125, smt5600, mpx220) you will be given a smartphone/media net plan, pda's and pocket pc's get pda connect plans.

they should treat the pda's like they do smartphones...same price across the board. no reason not too really except just to make a few extra bucks from the folks usings treo's and pocket pc's.

I guess Cingy figures if they can afford $300+ for the PDA, they can afford $45/month for the data...

what am I missing here? ZX-10 is not a smart phone or PDA.
