i am using house of colors candy yellow them i am going to put 2 coats of at clear on it so it should be fine

still up in the air about that. its matte right know and it look great. the only reason that i am leaning toward the glossy finish is the duribilty of the auto body clear

I agree - the glossy finish could make it a lot more durable. I'd love to see some close-up pictures when you're done! You could probably sell a few of 'em on here, to boot.

here are the steps

1. got a full hosuing from cnn.cn
2. used dremel tool with low grit barrel to get the rubber crap off
3. shot base coat let dry over night
4. wet sanded with 600 grit
5. shot secong coat let dry over night
6 wet sanded with 800 grit
7. wet sanded with 1000

i only use house of colors. i am going to do a color change housing next

Too bad the faceplates were not made from metal. I could have just simply powder coated them in Gloss Yellow and been done with it! But nice color choice, you cant go wrong with Yellow

they do make them in metal i just have no been able to get my hands on one.
they have the silver and gunmetal versions

Actually, the chrome one... i have. Some call it the silver version, some call it the gunmetal version...either way, the version i have is NOT metal. Its plastic. I know its plastic, and they are PLASTIC

I bought 2 when they first came out... I sold one for..

I can get another one and it wont cost as much but it will cost more than the red or black pebl..

lol Well i like the pebl and all but i dont really like how the screen slings back so fast im afraid it might get broken one of these days im thinking of picking one up soon. but i dont want the normal rubberized black.

I always "catch" the flip with my index finger as it's opening, so it doesn't come flying open too hard. I just started doing it out of habit - I don't even think about it anymore.

Mine flips open at a slow rate. Doesn't whip open.

I had the gunmetal chrome pebl, a prototype it was, and it was really buggy. Didn't have any imei stickers or anything inside. I only paid $250 for it.

I think they are all prototype but after flashing it with the firmware... from the retail pebl... no bug whatsoever
