v400 screen gone black

my v400 was working all good until today, all of a sudden the screen went black
i can still send and recieve calls but i cant see the screen anymore
can anyone tell me whats wrong? is there a way to fix this or did it just die?

The ribbon cable to the lcd might've become damaged somehow. Did you drop it, get it wet or leave it in a hot/cold automobile?

no none of the above..the screen just went blank out of no where.
can i fix this problem by my self by taking apart the phone? or is it not worth it fixing?
