Cingular 8125 Questions?

I'm recieving it by mail on Thursday. I'm wondering how's the internet browsing? easy? is it fast? They are charging me $39.99 to use the internet. Do I still need that $39.99 service if I connected through a wireless connection? I can't seem to find a review that talks about it. Also is there away to use AIM/AOL on it? besides using Agile Messenger?

EDGE/GSRM connection is acceptable, but not nearly as fast as Verizon or Sprint w/ EV-DO.

If you only want to use wi-fi, you will not need the $39.99 data plan.

No personal experience w/ IM on it yet.

Thanks for the answer! Does the internet load fast if you have a medium or strong connection to a wifi?

Also if I download stuff from the internet through wifi will they charge me?

Depends on what you are downloading. If there is a charge for it yes. But to surf the net via wifi no charge. the browser is ok. It works well for when you need it. I would surf the web on it for hours but to check or do searchs it works. I am happy with the performance thus far.

To significantly increase your browsing experience, give Opera 8.5 Beta 2 a try:

Who makes the Cingular 8125? I know Cingular doesn't have a magic phone factory.

Cingular 8125 is manufactured by HTC Innovations who also make K-Jam/MDA for Tmobile, and Verizon and SPrint's Slider Pocket PC Phones
