Has anyone had both devices to comment on the real and practical differences between the two? I know that 8700 supports Edge and has the full keyboard, but that 7100 is smaller. Is that reason enough to upgrade? After that, I'm lost as to the differences, or, more importantly, whether people that have made that switch believe they made the right decision. Thoughts? |

I started with a 7100g and first switched to a 7290. Then upgraded to the 8700. I am glad I did. I didn't realize how much I liked using the full qwerty over suretype. If you are using your BB for a lot of browsing, the the 8700 is definately worth it. Another couple of things I like on the 8700 that the 7100 didn't have are: the added convenience button (probably made for ptt if that ever comes to the 8700c) and the dedicated mute button. I find that I use it a lot |
