Hello!

I have been looking around the forums and doing searches and haven't come up with any answers.

Has anyone gotten an LG VX9800 (on Verizon) to run an IRC client, or found a good proxy/gateway site for getting on IRC?

It's not terribly important to me, but would be neat to do. I've known folks have been channel OPS with their phone (always wondered why they typed soooo sloooow) and was really hoping it would be somehting I could do with this phone.

I found a thread the other night that mentioned a piece of software, but I never found out if it would work on my phone, and the network I'm interested in wasn't listed with the software/service, and now I can't remember the site or find the post.

Anyway, I'm really interested in this, and on the verge of whining about Verizon locking down phones, using brew/GIN, and crippling bluetooth. So I'll stop here.

Thanks in advance for any help. And thanks to the writers of all the amazing posts I've read over the last week that have helped me out with what little control I have over my phone.

I've been looking for some solutions to this as well. I'm tired of all my friends with sidekick IIs bragging about being on IRC while in my car. :P
