hi. i have a problem like this person here...

http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...n+not+connected

i was wondering if anyone found out what's wrong with it.

have MPT, works great.
downloaded p2kman and plugged my v360 in. nothing pops up, no "new hardware found" dialogue. just absolutely nothing. i have all my p2k drivers ready too... but its' not even asking for it.

any ideas?

I had this problem for some time -- then used p2k commander -- the drivers provided with this allowed my SLVR L7 to be recognised and connected immediately. (I set the usb connectivity to Data / Fax modem as default. ) After this, all the others (p2k tools, p2k man) recognise and connect to the phone.

make sure that your usb settings are set to data. You have probably already thought of that, but it confused me at first. if thats not working, i don't really know what to say. I have had so many problems with those programs its not even funny. They seem to be completely temperamental. I couldn't get my v360 to connect for a while and then one day all of a sudden, it just connected to p2ktools and then to all of the p2k programs. maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling p2kman.

thank you... but how do you set USB to data? i am sorry if i'm not too good at this sort of thing.

I tend to use programs like Flexeditor but nonetheless I can suggest you to start RSD Lite and then you'll have your mobile recognised as a new hardware.
This issue happens because many times p2k programs are unable to induce the "USB composite" status on your mobile, thus preventing you to access the "normal" mode and not the "modem" mode on your mobile.

Menu -- Settings -- connectivity -- USB settings -- Default connection -- Data / Fax

WOW! i found it. don't i feel like an idiot... the entire time i was trying to switch the USB settings in device manager in windows. i didn't know everyone was talking about the phone.

Are there any updates to this? I just got a V360 today and i was looking to customize it and what not... it's been a rough day.. i'm already missing my SE T68i

i am having a similar problem. my new hardware for my phone pops up but every time i start p2k it won't recognize my phone. my usb cable is listed as a composite cable, and says i need a driver.

i have a V190, which has no sub menu in settings to switch between data and fax
