Some Wisdom Shed on REMIX Bluetooth Connectivity Issues!

I figured out some of what might be causing some of my Bluetooth issues with my Slider Remix.

I went and swapped-out my old one for a new one, and then used the PST tools to change the SPC number to all zeros. For Cricket customers like myself, your SPC# is known as the "secondary sublot code", and for some reason, Cricket insists on setting them differently for each handset.

Anyway, upon trying to download files via BitPim, I got the same CRC errors I did before! Needless to say, I was both infuriated and baffled all at once. (I was convinced that the previous errors I got were due to the fact that I had used BitPim to erase files from the phone.)

I then tried to use EFS Explorer in the QPST tools and got the same bad results as before as well. But this time, I paid close attention to those directories that were giving me bad read errors, and noticed that most of them had to do with the saved media files.

So these are all the steps I took, which I arranged in order of how they should be done:

FIRST--As a precautionary measure, I plugged my Bluetooth adapter directly into a USB port in the back of my PC instead of through a USB hub or extension cable, as suggested by BitPim's troubleshooting documentation.

SECOND--I unchecked all the items in the "Items to Save" option of the mmory card settings so that saved files would save to the phone instead of directly to the memory card.

THIRD--I removed the transflash memory card and cycled power on the phone.

And, BOOM!: Both BitPim and EFS Explorer were able to read the filesystem again!

However, I am still having trouble getting the phone to work with the Kyocera Mobile Phone Tools suite.

Has anyone had success in doing so, and if so, what settings are you using on your phone?

IC about the KPT. Major bummer... *shrugs*

But using the precautions I listed above, I was able to supress errors when reading/saving files from the phone itself using BitPim or QPST's EFS Explorer.
