is this conversion possible..i know that u can buy special 8890 faceplates that fit the 82** serires but are there ones made for the 8390....im been looking into this but havent found any info..i know there is a 8390 to 8910 or somethign but i dont like that much also 8390 to 6590 that seems ok but 8390 to 8890 would be awsome

cosnidering the 8390 is smaller than 8290, the covnersion cover shouldn't be that hard to make, it might be as simple as regular x-press-on...

wonder why nobody ever tried to make it..

Posted by: sunny31

yeah i would have thought by now someone would have tried it

Posted by: GNOSIS

Yeah, I guess everyone's in the "let someone else try it first" mindset?

Posted by: sunny31

Someone out there PLEAE TRY ITT lol

If you all donate enough money to the "Gnosis Project: 8390 to 8890 conversion" fund, then I promise you all will benefit from the invaluable knowledge that will come out of my research.

A little bit from everyone goes a long way.

What? What's so funny?

what about you try make one and send us samples...heheh...then we'll pay you...heheh..j/k

seriously..is there nobody out there that the slightest bit compelled to make it and make money out of this market...

I think it's just the fact that the OEM 8890 housing costs too much to fool around with. Then again, these are the words coming from myself, a full-time student already in major debt.

Posted by: sunny31

im pretty sure that the cost is not a factor..maybe a little

I'd rather have 8390-8855 conversion

Black is better!!

take a look at daydeal.com they have a cover for 8390 that gives the 8910 look.... but its plastic --- just thought i'd give a heads up-- it would have been the shiznit if it was aluminum-- just thought i'd give a heads up
