wtf? no reciption?

ok... i have NO receiption... i can't make calls or get into the messages.. and i did tried my friend's sim card to try it and it's the same....

i did contacted tmobile.. and they said that i can't exchange it unless i have the information... this phone is bought from ebay.. and im soo mad.

is there any way i can update this phone to better firmware? arggg help is greatly appreciated.

what kind of info are they looking for?

pick up that insurance and pay the 50$ for a new one.

either that or try a hard reset... slide your screen half way open and use a paper clip and push down the button in the little hole and hold the power button at the same time.
ATTN: it only looks like you lost your info it all comes back after an hour or 2

You need to explain further. Do you have T-Mobile service? Did you set up a sidekick data plan on the device? Is this sidekick for T-Mobile service or did you purchase a Hiptop 2 which is for SunCom service or a Hiptop 2 which is for Fido service? Each are specific for the individual carrier only even if unlocked. For Example, if you unlock a T-Mobile sidekick, it'll work on SunCom or Fido as a phone and sms only. None of the other features will work.
