v266 how do i activate web browser

When I got this phone it was Cellular One, now it is Alltel. The phine does not have the web browser button, never did. I can send it in and alltel tells me they can reprogram it. I dont want to take a chance of them screwing anything up. Is there anyway I can 'unlock' the web browser? Thanks
