when i first plugged in my phone it recognized new hardware as "motorola V3" then it figured out it was a "motorola usb modem" in device manager it is "motorola usb modem" it is on COM1 it is using these drivers: usbsermpt.sys and modem.sys this is what it says in the log of device manager for the modem: Code:

I still think that USB is a bit flaky all on it's own, so anything that uses it will be flaky by definition. |
