I have an AudiovoX SMT5600 (HTC Typhoon), originally locked to ATT Wireless. Now it is both carrier-- and application-unlocked, and I am using it on T-Mobile USA.
When I go to Settings, About, I see the following versions listed:
--------------------------------------
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
Version 4.21.1088 (Build 14257.2.0.0)
Radio Version A.10.01
Total Storage: 27.98 MB
Total Memory 21.62 MB
Processor ARM OMAP 720
ROM update versions:
Operator: 1.1.40.0
Manufacturer: 1.1.58.80
Microsoft 4.21.14257.0
Language 1.1.58.80
File System: 4.21.14257.0
-----------------------------------------------
Is there a newer ROM that I can download and install to this phone, that will improve its capability, fix bugs, etc.? If there isn't one made specifically for the Audiovox SMT5600, is there one for another branding of the HTC Typhoon, that will work on this phone?
Thank you for your assistance.

I'm kinda curious too whether there's a rom update..
I'm running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
Version 4.21.1088 (build 14257.2.0.0)
Radio Version A.12.01
ROM update versions:
Operator: 2.0.41.5
Manufacturer: 1.1.170.181
Microsoft: 4.21.14257.0
Language: 1.1.170.181
Filesystem: 4.21.14257.0
I heard there's a rom that allows bluetooth headsets to trigger the "head-set" profile which mine doesn't do. anyone know which rom version that is?

I don't think there was an official ROM update...The is an unofficial Windows Mobile 5 ROM floating around. From what I remember, the main problem was that the camera wouldn't work so well after the ROM upgrade.

I found out from a developer that t-mobile released a ROM with windows mobile version Microsoft: 4.21.15159.0.
This one apparently has full BT headset support that does trigger the headset profile (which i have another app that will automatically unlock the phone for voicedial goodness).
I'm trying to find out if rogers has anything of the sort, but i'm at a dead end right now.
I have actually flashed to WM5 on my SMT5600 and it was generally great except for *a lot* of little hiccups.. I decided to go back to wm2003.
