MOTO RAZR V3: Keypad says Voice Recording

Everytime i push any button on the keypad it tries to record a voice or something. None of the keys work, along with the side keys. Whats the best way to fix this?

I think this is a common problem with the RAZR. Is it under warranty?

i had the same problem witgh a v551.....if it is under manufacturer warranty or if you have the ripoff monthly insurance, use it. get it replaced. i never figured out how to fix it, cuz it was under warranty. but i think it is something simple like the voice record button being stuck in a depressed mode.

its under manufacture warranty. I do have the lockline insurance, but not on this phone. I guess ill just swap imei numbers with them and wait awhile. It is a cingular phone.

if it's under manf warr. i would just call cingualr. they will send you a new one and then you send that one back.

My razr buttons don't respond at all. I have a third one coming this week. I'm about done. I want a simple, samsung camera phone. But NO!, have to get a third razr.

got it to work.. i got really pissed and just started mashing them all down realy hard and then boom it started working.

Is it true there is a "three strikes rule" at cingular, and they will give me a diff. phone? I am going on my third razr, and it just might have to mess up again, with my luck. So could I get a w600? If so, how much?

if not, you can always just tell them (talk to a manager, not some dumbazz) that it's the third one to mess up, you need something else....have all your numbers for different phones ready....prices and whatnot. so you can give them the reasons why you should get phone A instead of phone B. and tell them you will just leave and go to another company if not.

What do you mean have all your numbers for different phones ready?

I am done with razrs, It is my third one, and all the cingular people could tell me is "call the exchange number, we can't do that here."

And the jackazz at the exchange dept. on the phone wouldn't even send me a silver razr! If i have to get another POS phone, they might as well give me one in the COLOR i want! Cingular is a bunch of *beep*.

No thanks, I'm done. When I get my third one I dont care, I'm going to say it's messing up, make some excuse, and get a completely different phone. All they could do is have me get another one. Duh people! If my first 2 didn't work, what makes you think I want another one? Hah, they make me sick. So if my third one suddenly has problems, I can take it up to the store and say look 3 of them didn't work for me, what can you do for me?
