how to get call list on outside screen on RAZR

How can i get my recieved call list on the outside screen on my RAZR, i know its possible because on previous occasions i've pulled it out of my pocket and was able to use the side up/down keys to scroll though my recieved call list and hit the other button to dial. How do i pull the list up on the outerscreen? thanks

I think the option is only there when you get a missed call, but I could be wrong
