but no cross-market family activations.

Posted by: anubis9278

WTF!!! where you here this. PLEASE let me know. CSP, Stan, or is it really just for that one day

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

training we had?

hell its on freakin CSP under "TRAIN FOR NATIONWIDE ACTS BEFORE 4/1!!!"

Posted by: anubis9278

its not on my portal, time to make a few calls.

Posted by: anubis9278

but in the mean time, can i get some details. damn i feel so outsie the loop right now

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

we work more, paid less, can do single/family plans anywhere in the us(FT plans need to be from the same market though)

quotas= opportunities

opps= total contracts.

minimum of 90 opps required (will vary as time progresses and as VP/GM of your craphole determines)

Posted by: cingman66

I would rather not do nationwide act's, because when we get out of market customers, we can do relocations instead of upgrades (assuming they are ATT or Cingular already). Relo's count as NEW

Posted by: Freakshow105

ya but i loose so many act's because people want out of state numbers here

Posted by: anubis9278

COR stores only. My dealers are going to have a **** storm.

Family talk doesn't pay well on new comp plan. It's better to sell individual rate plans.

I thought it was only in telegence markets for npw.

its not suprising. Cingular has failed the indirect channel in every way since it forced them to become exclusive.

yep...thats why i couldn't find it earlier.

another rep at my store was at a round table discussion in NYC for all the top reps in the area.... may 1st is the day for CARE.... can't wait... get all these blue custs with cross market plans and we have to tell them sorry... i mean its cool that we get a new act out of it, but with the commission struct changing... maybe this will work too?? IDK yet... i guess we all shall just wait and see?

This does not excite me. I don't want the ability to do Nationwide activations. Here's why:

I can count on one hand the number of times (in the last 9 years) a customer came in and requested a new line with a number from outside my market. So what am I gaining here? Nothing. What am I losing? The ability to do relocations, which DO count as new activations. Instead, these former relo's will now count as upgrades--yippee (note sarcasm).

Call me crazy.

Posted by: anubis9278

the want of a customer to do a relo is up to them. we can still do relo's. its just that you need to explain why a customer should do a relo verses upgrading. if they live in atlanta and have 504 area code, the first attempt (sales pitch) should be a relo. then just to get a little change offer the upgrade as a last resort. But I would look at the negative side of this b/c commission seems to be going towards quantity and apru.

This is crazy. I say that because I am sure customers will think they can port numbers nationwide now and thats an entirely different story.

I ported a number in 502 to replace a temporary number in Louisiana (318) on Sprint (while living and being billed in LA.) They didn't say boo, so I did (effectively) do a nationwide port. I was impressed
