In the past, you'd have to press and hold the # key (I think) to swap between normal and vibe modes. With the x497 and newer Samsungs, you can also press and hold the Down volume key on the left side to toggle between the two. (from my Nit Picking review of the x497) Note the little speaker icon with the X next to it. It's between the "G" icon and the battery level icon. Does your wife put the phone in a case of some sort? I've noticed that some cases, even with elastic sides, can often press side keys ever so slightly. Just a thought...! |

The size and contouring of the phone makes it ideal for stowage in a pocket or purse, exactly the scenarios that exacerbate this problem.
Luckily we're inside the 30 days. Is anyone aware of usability issues with the z520 or the 6102? A nice small trouble free phone is the goal here. |
