i just bought a jabra jx10 that has voice command. i also recently bought and installed MS voice command onto my cingular 8125 phone. it's up and running without any problems and i have it assigned to the old speed dial button.

the problem i'm having is that when i press the voice command button on my jx10... it's calling up the original 'voice speed dial' program instead of 'ms voice command'.

how do i fix this problem? please help as i really need this function to work. any help is very much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Voice Command was not made for use with bluetooth headset, because of the connection is not as good. You can read more on Voice Commands website. When I had the MDA I used this:
http://www.burling.co.nz/Default.aspx?tabid=151

You can either do some registry edits or just use that cab. It's not as good as using the phone for voice command, but it's not bad.

alright, i installed the .cab file and that did not work. when i press the voice dial button on the jabra jx10... it still loads up 'voice speed dial' instead of 'ms voice command'.

i've read where other members have been able to use thier bluetooth headset's voice dial with ms voice command. what gives? is it just this headset? are there even any edits out there to make this work? thanks again.

you have to run the cab and then run the program called voice enable from the file manager, then choose voice command as the default.

thanks... that program did work. but now there is a new problem.

after getting the voice command to work via my jabra jx10... it only worked the first time. now when i press the button it just beeps and doesn't load any program. anyone know how to fix this? thanks again.

This is a known issue with many BT headsets and the 8125 (the actual HTC Wizard), not only the beautiful JX10.

When you apply the hack to VC and try to use it with select BT sets it works the first time only, then you need to do a "soft reset" of the 8125 to make it work again...

There is still no resolution to this...Can you return your JX10?

There are many threads on this here at howrds and a very specific thread here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=35767

Hope this helps you some...In this thread you can see which BT sets seem to work with the Wizard based on other user experiences...

Good Luck.

Jason, yes and no.

Microsoft's VoiceCommand was never intended to be used over BT in its current v.1.5 iteration (VC 2.0 will probably have BT capabilities)...

So what we are doing is hacking it to work...

VC DOES work flawlessly with my HS820 Moto BT earpiece, but not with my Jabra JX10.

I am not sure its purely a hacked VC issue...I think various BT sets are also to blame (like our JX10).

Noone seems to know.

is there a way to get the default voice dialer to recognize ms voice command in it's apps list to attach a voice tag to? if so, then i could just attach a voice tag to ms voice command. this way when i press the voice dial button on my jx10... the default program will start... i'll ask to ms voice command... it will load and then i can pull up anything i want.

the problem is that the default program doesn't list ms voice command in it's apps list. anyone know how to fix this? thanks again.
