I have this strange problem. i have a razr that when holding the phone vertically the keypad lights up but horizontally even while pressing it does not light up. is tjhere a setting i could change? or is it a malfunction?

i actually can hold it vertically and then horizontally switching back and forth and it turns on and off..weird..

They Key pad turns on using a light sensor built in to the phone, When it's bright out, the keypad might turn on for a few sec but then shut off. but in a dark dark room then keypad should be lit all the time but will time out to your setting but once a key is pressed again it will light up. I think the sensoron one of those litle dots.
