I have the 9800 and my wife has the 8100

Can we save ringers on the mini sd card?

How do you delete ringers that are on the phone already or ones I added but don't really want anymore?

you can add ringers to the SD card only if you have Version 1.0/1.1 and u need bitpim and bluetooth or a usb cable to find more info search the forums to get a more complexed answer because this question has been answered too many times!!!!!!

I have used bitpim and have added lots of ringers to my phone. I wanted to know about the memory card. I just ordered one and wanted to know if it was for MP3's only or if I could save my ringers on there too.

The other part is.....Can I delete ringers once they are in my phone? (not on the card cuz I don't have one yet, but in the phone)

Howdy rdtdan

I have the VX8100 and have added both MP3's and custom MIDI ringtones on the miniSD card. I am running software Version 04. There may be some issues with the software versions after 04 - I'm not sure. I have declined to upgrade past Verson 04 since I know it works for me.

Using a card reader and my PC, I have added MP3's and MIDI ringtones to the card and they are visible and useable on the VX8100. With the miniSD in the card reader (after it was formatted IN THE PHONE which places some necessary files on the miniSD, namely: MY_FLIX, MY_PIX, MY_MP3 and MY_SOUNDS), I added another folder named "Ringers" (no quotes). I placed by custom Ringtones in the Ringers folder, and my MP3's in the MY_MP3 folder. Once the miniSD was placed in the phone, the MP3's were available both in the phone's Menu system and the front buttons, and the custom ringtones show up in the menu.

I have found that if I add or delete ringtones, I need to use BitPim with either the BlueTooth or cable connection to "send" the SMS and Ringtone files to the phone to correct the index files on the phone.

I tried it, didnt work. But since my phone is brand new, its very possible that I'm on the newest version, and the newest version doesnt work. I uploaded as mp3. Should I try as .mid?

Edit: I enabled MP3, and it still doesnt work.

Double Edit: Atleat it wasnt a total loss, I can now play MP3s.
