How do I get them onto my phone without paying up the wazoo through cingular? I use to do it with my nextel and just upload it all onto my phone converting it. Some one also told me I can do a voice record and just save it as a ringtone, but it keeps telling me I have to hold down the button for new voice recordings, what I tried to hold down every button and it is still not working. If I sound dumb, please bear with me , I just got the thing yesterday.

MOVED TO THE RIGHT THREAD THIS TIME.

on the contrary my young padawan, i solved this problem years ago on the v400... go make a new MMS and and insert a sound (recording) and send the MMS to yourself, you can now use that recording as a ringtone

Use a data cable...

Bluetooth.

you should be able to do what i THINK you are talking about with a data cable and phonetools...

If you are talking about ringtones, wallpapers, themes, games, etc, the easiest way is Bluetooth. If you computer doesn't have bluetooth just get a cheap USB adapter. I remember the ghetto days my my.jal and web.jal with Nextel. I will not buy a phone without Bluetooth for this very reason.

Sony Ericsson and Apple OS X = Bluetooth heaven

You would probably need a Bluetooth dongle: basically a little Bluetooth adapter that plugs into a USB port. You can get one for around $10. Just plug it into your USB port and you'll be able to set up a Bluetooth connection with your phone.

I don't think so. You couldn't charge your phone with a bluetooth dongle. Do a search on eBay or a site like newegg.com and you'll see what I mean.
