Signal Strength Issue at Home

Hi All,

Apparently, I'm located in an area that even Verizon can't get STRONG service to. Been thru all other carriers, at least I now get a "10% signal strength" (thank you MS Voice Command) over Verizon so, now I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with any form of "Signal Booster?" Googled the topic, but there doesn't appear to be any definitive info on the subject ( that I can make any sense of). So the question is, "Has anyone come up with a working solution to raising signal strength, what products work, and where to buy?" Thanx in advance

I'm in my basement alot, and I've found if you put your finger on the antenna, it give's you like a 5% boost in singnal... helps just a little...

example :

Here is one link found from a search for "Cellular Repeater" in Google:
Cellular Repeater

These systems are not cheap and could involve climbing into dangerous locations if you do it yourself. A multilevel house could increase the cost. It might be cheaper to forward your cellular phone calls to your land line when you are at home. Check to see whether your carrier has a package deal where you would not pay for each call. This question is not really phone model related so you should do a search with the Verizon or other CDMA carriers subforums for information.
