Well, BodyGuard, here's a small review of your MP from me:
-mp3/midi : mp3's are too short as lenght, but good quality sound. Thanx for bringing back phone's original mid's.
-gaintable: sounds are way too loud and also distorsions show up, if volume is over 5
-free space: THE BEST MP i've tested untill now
-skins: great
-problems to fix: the only problem (but quite a BIG one): whenever i try to write e.g. wap.yahoo.com (or anything else) in "Go to URL" from "Web Acces", i can't bloody see the characters i'm writing. Not to mention that on my phone's 9(wxyz) key, 9 seems to be the 3rd push instead of the 4th, and i can't see what i'm writing... Can you fix that?
It's quite a great MP,i have no more objections, many thanx for it bringing it to life...

- you can't write letters you have some issue or black boxes - please while you in message or any editor press menu/entry setup/ & choose any other Tap or iTap!
This is just small things that you can do by yourself & they will be fixed in next versions... tnx

Here we go a little Statistic about Revolution MP [Big Grin]

After 21 Hour (1 day) since releasing Revolution MP this is statistic:

- Revolution with iTunes is downloaded 517 times already from Rapdishare link + other downloads links from other sites!
- Revolution NO iTunes is downloaded 73 times already + other download link from other site!
- a lot of download from gocellular

Exactly every 60 sec? Then you have the Call Timer turned on. To fix it, go to into Dialing Services => In-Call Setup => In-Call Timer => Turn beep OFF

Great MP, but I did notice when the screen is in idle there is a "W" and "m" next to the time. Is suppose to be there, and if so is there anyway to remove it and just put am\pm? Other than that great MP!

P.S. Does anyone have a collection of the all motorola midi's? I'm trying to find one, but unsure what its called. Thanx!

your standby time showinng e.g. "11:30 WM" insteed of "11:30 PM" - please go to settings/intial setup/time & date & change time from am/pm to 24hr!

The phone is fine, just the software (PST) didn't even attempt to flash the phone. Phew! And I'm running R373 as of now, and have been for a while now. But if its too much trouble, then I'll just stick with it as this MP is Perfect as of now for me. If anybody has any other solutions let me know.

I tried to flash using Flashbackup first, but it does not display errors but instead does not show any progress at all. So I prayed and cancelled the program and hoped that my phone booted up, and it was all fine. So next I tried again to flash with PST this time, and just on the first flash, when it starts to extract the file, it fails and gives me an errors "Failed Flash!", so it never even started the flash. I think it is complaining about the file. Any clues about this?

Why are you using Flash back up or PST just the use the originator.... RSD Lite! This was my VERY FIRST flash attempt.... i took a chance, and used just plain old RSD Lite 2.4 and it worked like a charm! Couldnt be happier with my first flash attempt and man ill tell you what Body Guard, this Monster Pack as got to be the finest..... its like a whole new phone! Love the Symbian 7.0 style and everything!!! AWESOME JOB!!!

Great Work!

I am fine with the flash, just I am trying to flash a language pack which isn't working for me. It has problems when extracting then fails before it attempts to flash. This was to fix the "WM" showing when on idle screen when it should show "PM".

Does anybody else have language packs that I can try out?

I will love to flash to this mp. However I am currently using the ancient 1st and ever R373 mp, the 1ER Shoey's V1.

What should I do to flash to this MP? I don't think I will have to do the conversion from R372 to R373 rite? Do I have to flash it to a R373_42R from a R373_1ER first before flashing to the R373_48R? If so, how do I go about doing that? Basically I wanna flash it from a R373_1ER (Shoey's V1) to R373_48R (BodyGuard's Revolution).

Anyway how do I backup my contact list first so that after flashing I will be able to retain my phonebook? Will appreciate it if I get some procedures in doing so. Thanks for any input!

Great MP!!! The skins are just great & iTunes, love it! One thing though, what happened to event lights? No green flash while charging, white flash when receiving messages, etc.

Question:
1. Eversince I flashed to iTunes MPs, first with PINTER 1.2/1.3 and now to BGs Rovolution I can't access WAP sites anymore using the websession settings I used with the original E398 and later V398 flash. Does it have to do with the phone's ID or something?

2. Is there anyway to edit phone numbers while sending a message or making a call (like adding area codes/other special functions) without having to memorize the numbers and input them all manually?

Any help would be appreciated...

you need to put 9icon skin & 9icon mma files... p2kmenu editor for MMA... menu_maker for converting skins 9 <-> 12 icons.. or skinner4moto

Great MP, thanks! Having some issues with itunes, though. I re-formatted the tf and put some songs in the b/mobile/audio directory, as the readme suggested, but mototunes doesn't seem to do anything. It says 'reading songs' or something like that, but I've left for upwards of 1/2 hour and nothing happens. Any suggestions? Do I have to do any pds patching or follow any of the earlier itunes install hacks?

@ jcmcm I had the same issues with itunes. Got around them by using mototunes MOBILE which creates itunes playlists on the cell phone...

there is no v2 without iTunes...
you can remove it with motomidman...

I think the best for you is to flash with v2...

but you can try both... they are different...somebody likes v1.0 somebody v2.0

Is the smart key enable in this MP? I can't seem to control its functions. Transparent skins work supper! Just downloaded some!

I just flashed my phone with rev v1.0, man thsi MP really rocks! it made me appreciate iTunes more.....i am now downloading v2.0.

I am still giving credit to all that has made thier MP's in the fast, but this one for now i think is the best - BG hatsoff to you! your really spoiling moto freaks like me! my friends and realtives are jealous of my e398, they have better phones but my phone features surpass them as they say it!

I am using R373_G_0E.30.70R
on my ROKR E1 currently. I flashed my phone with this monster pack R373_G_0E.30.48R
When it nears finishing, it says "Rebooting phone" and stays hanging. The phone doesn't reboot. Then it says "Please manually power on phone" and I can't. The bootloader's still working kind of. What should I do?

I have few questions, hopefully you will find the time for answers.
Now I have v 2.0.
1) When writing SMS I only have a choice of iTAP as priority, as it is not in my language I would prefer NONE, but it is not possible to set?! Version 1.0 was OK in this way.
2) When using search option "jump to" in phonebook letters F, I, L, O, S, do not work. This was same in v 1.0.
Saying that most of the buttons do not work when searching for the third letter.
3)After 2 weeks of using v 1.0 all the ringstyles suddenly changed. So far it is fine in V 2.0

2. that letters are working... maybe you don't have contacts with F, I, L, O, S... it's working I just tested it... I pressed 3 times button "3" .. & it jumped to F"contact" ...

I heard that the other Bootloader work even when your battery is full to flash the phone. I have not tested it with a flat battery. May try soonest but can someone confirm.
I don't mind trying it. I killed my phone once and revived it so I think it still has 8 lives left like a cat, but better someone tell you b4 you try it.
@Bodyguard, can this MP support 1GB trans cards? I read that it is the seem edits which determines if it can accept or not. So just checking.

Thanks BG for the tip about TAP Espagnol. It really made my life easier.
I tried it too, many times, but when I push button 3 three times it only jumps to E contact..(I do have F contact as well)..same with others..well strange, but I can live with that.

Hey I tried to use this MP on my ROKR that is 70R. I couldn't get it to boot. It would keep flashing with a white screen. I then went back to my 70R and it worked. So I don't need the revival guide. I just need to know if its possible to go from 70R to 48R and if so, y isn't working?

Edit: I have now tried to use the 79R on my phone. I am going from 70R. Is this ok to do?

maybe is problem with iTap in your phone book... change your method to SEARCH... & when you searching change entry setup to Tap espanol.. or other extendet Tap... Than change back to Jump method.. Than it should be good

just don't flash 75R or you will be stock in there... & I'm not shure for 79R too... they are not safe...

delete the mytemptone and temptones or whatever it is (do you know what i'm talking about?) you deleted a ringtone or something that was used by the alarm clock. deleting those two files i said will fix it. i did the same thing

I cant find the program for the rokr e1 either, if someone could point out where we could find it that would be great. I tried installing that RSD lite and it says that d is the recommended drive and thus cannot install. I cant figure out exactly what I have to do to mod my phone but would love to do so. Most of the instructions seem for people who have the phones that came without iTunes to begin with. This 100 limit stinks, and I could finally let my wife take my 60G iPod with her during the day if I can get this working.

I have another small problem..it is BT. I have a BT stick to my desk top, and never had problem with it.
Even now both devices see each other, but when I try to send something to my phone it tries to connect and than fails to connect?! It did not need any new bonding, but when I changed your "Revolutionary user" to my own name, computer reckognized it with no problem.
Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Madcatz brought what I've been looking for too. I love using itunes for one reason only. I don't mind which program/s take my music to the phone, but itunes adds album art and thats what I like. I enjoy at least seeing an artist of the phone as it is playing.
Can this be made possible with mototunes? It would be a cool feature for sure!

yeah when you open your phone bellow the battery is written where is phone finished.... started etc... you need CHINA

& about iTunes try deleteing iTunes folder from T-flash... your database is damaged I think..

delete 2db files... use p2ktools... click "all silent" & click "fix melody db" or use any other program... go to a/mobile/audio/ delete *.db files.. & restart phone..

Sorry i had to quote myself won't let me edit. anyways, i figured out how to enable the R373 but there's a problem. I flashed ur MP onto my phone be4 A) creating a backup and B) enabling R373.
So u can guess wut happened, its bricked. however, i can still get into my BL and it tells me that it is a R372_G_0e.20.56R

don't know man for sure... but you have some bad luck

well you will need to try flashing your ROKR with aze2learn fix....

if that isn't working than you probably should try with some FULL original firmware/software for ROKR.... or restore backup if you have?

the iTunes auto-startup is part of the new iShell mode where u can press 0 and use phone features without a SIM.

So try all & use one that best suit to you

I haven't installed it yet (sigh!), having problem with some MP download, but with the swf file shown here, it gives me a sense of excitement......hehehe.....

@BG Hi, the MP v3.0 looks mighty interesting. If I wanted to use other languages than the ones included, would I need to compile my own LP from the one included in the MP by employing shxcodec or will there be problems with the new fonts and i.e. German umlauts (äöüß)? Or could I use LP 0039? Please try to shed some light on this... Thanks!

I can flash the MP correctly, and everything works. But everytime I restart the phone, it crashes

I have to reflash everytime.

This also happens with other MPs, but I am quite sure I have the R373 version. Should I make the conversion anyway?

Well, I may (must) be missing something, but I just flashed my i398 with this MP last version, everything goen okay, my itunes that doesn´t work since I´ve flashed with rocker viper get back to work, So I install the last version of itunes on my pc computer and tried hard to make it talk to my phone, but just cant!

Tried memory card and data fax on cable options and in both cases, can´t make itunes (my pc) recognise my phone as an ipod. Does anyone can help-me out?

PS. Please, don´t talk about search foruns, as I´m here last 2 hours lurching and reading everything I could find.

i love this MP but.......... when sending an sms when it comes to adding recipients i have to scroll through the names because when i try to type in a persons name the box comes up blank and it gote to the > numbers, am i the only person with the problem

its a search box. just type the first letter of the name and then search and it will go right to it, if I'm thinking of the right thing.

hey hello(hola) from mexico.... im just a new modder, well thats why im here i try ur mp bodyguard(revo 3.0 48r) its really nice, i love those icons and those lite feel, yes it works then i try to put there a spanish lang pack(lp0003) and it works correctly nice!!!!!!.. then i try to reflash ur mp with 79fr firmware why? cause i want unlimited video, 79fr firmware its fast, its nice, its stable, and has a really good bat life, its unlimited record video , but its uncompatible with ur mp, when i get reflashed my (e398 revolution 48r to 79fr) it fail, i can surf all menus but when i try to get into my camera mode it doent work, when i try to open itunes it says "file corrupt, erease -yes- -no-)(my i tunes worked before, and it still doing because i get back to my old mp.... i want ur mp(its really nice) with my 79fr reflash.. is that possible(i can send to anyone my 79 reflash)

I've flashed using revolution - non itunes, overall it's great, but how to improve the phone response, especially when typing letter on creating sms, the more letter it gets slower...lagged, very annoying.

You are in BIG trouble... you are flashed sucessfully 79R..
& all of that what are you talking are BUGS from 79R ..
79R SUX ... ultra SUX .. & now you can't back & you can't flash to nothing else..
you are STUCK with 79R :. it's also BUG ...
only way to get back is doing HardTest point ... well I'm not sure but some people are talked about it in here:

thanx for the update im absolutely lovin this MP but....

i've been trying to install the BlackEngine skin found @ gocellular but for some reason it refuses to show up in the skins menu whereas a few other skins i have downloaded have shown up can you tell me is there any reason why this happens because i really want this skin

you need to make Folder called SAME as skin.. & upload all skin parts in that folder.. & restart phone..
it should work like a charm

Since the PC version Itunes will no longer detect the phone after installing this MP, how do we put songs onto the phone to listen using Itunes on the phone? P2Ktools? And if p2ktools what folder do we upolad the mp3s to?

Or does anyone have the edited PDS file with a how-to install it guide available for download?

Hey bodyguard, that pds hack isn´t to make itunes work on the phone? It´s working on the fone, the problem is that I can´t make my computer itunes recognise my phone to sync. In the hack page, they said something about working only to itunes 4.9, so I uninstaled my itunes 6 and instaled itunes 4.9, but it still don´t recognise my phone

Can´t I upload via trans the files to some folder where my phone itunes can see?

Any help is welcome.

I need the same help as Carlos. I changed my USB settings to memory card and tried pasting an mp3 into F Drive (ROKR) >> Itunes folder. The phone keeps saying Do Not Disconnect even after the file finished being pasted in there. I can access the file in the media library using the phone menu and play it, but it does not show up as a song in Itunes.

OKKKK ........

in phone when you are in iTunes you can press "0" you will see new iShell menu ...
You have iTunesDB icon ... it's Second in row... if you press that icon or if you already pressed .. than iTunes will read your songs from B/mobile/audio/ ... so you can upload songs to b/mobile/audio/ & hit that button & your database will be in b/mobile/audio/ & iTunes on phone will read b/mobile/audio/

BUT IF YOU WANT TO SYNCHRO WITH iTunes6 on pc
if you have e398
you need to do PDS hack ... I gave link for more how to do that...

if you have ROKR .. I think you can already synchro with iTunes6
but maybe you are accidently hitted that iTunesDB icon in iShell menu.. so now you can't synchro with iTunesPC
so now you need to Delete iTunes Folder from your trans flash .. /b/iTunes/ than you can connect your phone & start synchro with iTunes6 PC & new database will be created & you cann add new songs..

I hope I cleared some things..

BG thanks for your input regarding Itunes, I'll try it out later. With this new seem, if we want to keep fade in/out ringtones what hex and bit do we need to edit after uploading this new seem?

in 4xR series that is maximum.... you can try some 6FR or 70R they have unlimited video recording (DON'T try 75R & 79R you will screw up your phone !!!)
