L7 pointless screensavers?

yea so i put a matrix gif screen saver on my L7, and set it as a screen saver w/ the time wait to 1min. and the backlit to 20 seconds. after 1 min the screen saver comes up.......then like 10 seconds if goes off, never to return again. Please sum1 tell me WTF is the point of a "screen saver" when it works for only 10 seconds" or maybe im doing sumthing wrong in the settings,....sum1 holla @ me and let me know...PEACE!
