No one wants a job.

I can't tell if these people are just lazy or flat don't like working as an agent.

Had one guy came in for like 5 days, was doing fine and learning everything then just suddenly doesn't show up anymore. if you're gonna quit at least have the cajones to call and say yeah I hate the job.

So anyone in central KY looking for a job? Cuz I need someone in my store ASAP.

I ran into a few of these people last year. I had 1 guy who left in the middle of his shift - told the trainer that he had to get something out of his car and never came back. These people are freakin' degenerates who don't have the courtesy to say "hey, I don't think this is for me" and give notice. Try hiring college students. In 5 years I have never had this problem with the college students - it's only been the people who walk in off the street and fill out an app.

I have those people everyday. And I do mean EVERYDAY.

I work in a call center. The standard training class size is 15-20. Once training is over (3 weeks of training, and all you have to do is listen to someone talk and do some computer stuff) only 11-16 will be left. After a couple weeks on the job, only 8-13 will be left. I have been here for over a year, and there are maybe 3 of my training class left here. Alot left just because they were degenerates, a couple found better jobs. But yeah, I agree. I don't know how anyone could just quit like that.

The screwed up thing is these people treat their employees like GOLD.

If we bust our butts to do the best job we can, do well on the mystery shops, and aren't well...stupid, then you pretty much havea job as long as you want it., and they will reward you with great pay. Only downside is lack of benefits, but they're working on that. GAH.

Can't I find ONE person near lawrenceburg KY who wants a nice job selling Cingular?!

Sure, if you want to pay my moving and relocation costs.

I'm in a call centre also. same deal. I know of two other people besides myslef that are still here (about 10 months) I don't know why everyone quits. it's not that bad. most people couldn't take the stress and got out early. I know a couple people in my training class that ended up crying on the phone. training doesn't fully prepare you for what you're gonna get. we can't even see a real bill until we start taking calls.

when i quit the corp store i put in two weeks and left after one day of putting my notice in because my manager was acting like a richard.

Posted by: elushon

Well IMO this guy could have at least called up and said - hey go eff yourself I don't want the job.

That 's what chaffes me the most.

Posted by: Alfred_Neuman

Well, that's the problem with industries like these. Adults won't work for ya because it's not enough money, which leaves you with kids, college students, and people in their early twenties trying to get by while working themselves up the chain. This doesn't leave the industry with alot of options, because kids in general do not have any kind of a "work ethic" at all. And by the time that "kid" gets to the point in his life where a work ethic is important to him, so will a MUCH larger paycheck.

Posted by: cingsocal

Agree Phoenix. However, there are plenty of college students out there who appreciate the paycheck and work hard as long as management is flexible with their school schedule. I have a few going on 2 years at my stores who are very reliable and ethical. These are the guys who will go on to bigger paychecks when they graduate - partly because they will get rave reviews from me as a reference. I have one ex-employee who left me and went into sales 2 years ago and is clearing $150k a year.
