hello.

back when i was looking to get a car i wanted to get a trd edition celica gt. not fast, and dont care, but i particularily liked the looks. to make a long story short, the toyota dealership at auto7 has absolutely the rudest sales people.

because of them i took this toyota off my list and i own a 3. anyways does anyone own a celica trd/tsunami edition? what are ur opinions about it? how has the car been? major problems? how much did u pay for yours? how much is insurance? any pics? (ive been looking for a pic of the dash/instrument panels)

i absolutely loved the look of this car. to bad the celica is gone now and only available in ridiculously limited quantities.

my lease for my 3 is almost up and no i highly doubt im going to get this car, just felt a bit nostalgic and wanted to know how it treated its drivers.

IMO the celica is too small. I'm a big guy, ~6' and I really do not feel comfortable in a car that small. I knew someone who had one and she got into an accident in it, and she came out with a broken jaw and back. When I was looking to get a new car, I scratched that car along with the previous generation mitsu eclipse. But that is just me. I have no clue how tall you are. I like cars that seem to be more practical then speed oriented unless the car has both and I am comfortable in it. That is why I bought my TSX. Its zippy enough for me and it has four doors so it can hold people along with things.

lol im 5'10 and i did recall sitting in a trd celica when i was looking at it.

it was somewhat cramped, but i didint move the seat back so i wouldnt know for sure.

btw the previous generatiojn eclipse is *** ugly lol.

i also like practical cars. im planning to get a larger car than my 3, most likely a altima or a mazda6. but EVERYONE around me says i give the impression that im like their father figure. its so weird and gettting one of those cars, especially the altima, would make it seem much more so i guess. btw im only 19 and they are saying this to me. tsx is out of my price range. i was looking at osmethring up to 33k CAD, jsut a couple thousand more than my 3

My wife's friend has had one for 5 years and she has had no problems, so it seems to have held up well.

my friend has the 2001 one
and he's pretty happy with it
never met a dis-satisfied celica driver

Celica's are awesome rides, my cousin picked up a 91 for 500 bucks, yes it has 2nd gear grinds, few dents, but the car is pretty well built.

The new ones I like, although they're geared more towards women, its a nice looking car. I'm 6'2 so celica wasnt even on my list of cars when I was shopping for one, got the prelude instead, ya i can barely fit in the passenger seat and can't fit in the back, but who cares, IM THE DRIVER! mwahah

Celica is just okay, my brother owns one, seems like he's happy with the car. It's a 2001 GTS and stick shift, I can't drive stick, so I never really drive it
