Does anyone know if call center employees can get any sort of discounts on phones/plans? I work in XBM, and none of my sups seem to know or care...

Don't know about the phones, but I would think you'd be eligible for an employee rate plan. What I have is 2000 anytime minutes (no rollover or M2M), 200 Text/MMS, 5 MB Media Net for $25 a month. I'm not sure if that's only for agents or for all employees, but you could ask your supervisor about it.

you should be eligible for 30% off of retail price for phones and accessories as well.

My Cingular Rep says the text is unlimited. Are you sure yours only has 200?

I would double check on that if I were you. Even us COR reps only get 200.

Thats definately NOT what we get. We get 1000 min, 200 txt, 200 mms and 5mb wix. So, its either regional or it depends on what channel youre in.

And, thank you. Not too many girls on here can have a fart photo as a signature.

I dont pay anything for it. Just whatever it is I add on (like insurance, extra wix, etc.)

We get two phones. One with 1000 minutes, the other with 500. Everything else we have to add on at our own cost.

Double checked. I looked it up and called my rep. Text is unlimited.

i just got hired as a business rep at a call center for cingular and it says
you get a 1,000 minute phone line and a 500 minute phone line for no monthly fee.

do they have family plans? cause im thinking of getting the new ptt for me and my parents. Is there a website or anything?

Talk to your Cingular rep to make sure, but I think the answer is no on family talk plans.
