Sorry Tripy for not putting my post in the correct subforum. As it's closed and I can't move it, I'm reposting here. I hope this is ok and not considered a double post. Please delete the other post if it's an issue.

I'm planning on getting a Moto V3i phone when they become available and migrate over to Cingular Orange. I'm already planning out my accessories, such as this Ripoffs holster.

I'm a little leery of non-OEM electrical accessories and looking for some advice if what I'm considering is or isn't a good idea. Correct me if I'm wrong, I assuming the Razr V3 series all use a standard mini-B USB connection for charging/external power.

The chargers listed here advertise an IC chip to prevent overcharging. Would such a chip be as safe as one used in a Moto accessory?

I'm also wondering if anyone has any experience in high gain external antennas that plug into the phone. I saw one listed down the page a ways here.

Lastly, I have no experience with Bluetooth headsets. Can anyone recommend one or tell me which ones to avoid?

Thanks,
LowBat

Nobody??? I was at least hoping to learn if aftermarket chargers are ok or should be avoided.

I did search that section and the closest I found was advice on USB data cables. Guess I'll just place an order for the chargers and try'em for myself.

Hey lowbat,
I've never used those products before but I use aftermarket chargers for almost all of my electronics, Treo 650, SE 660 bt headset, wife's Razr, Moto bt headset, psp, iPod etc..., and they all have no problems... If you're looking for more of a compact solution, I've been looking at the SynCH charger from http://www.mpowerproducts.com . It's a retractable charger that can charge/sync 2 items at a time using special tips for each... I haven't purchased it yet but will be this week... Hope you have good luck with your stuff...

Thanks Laker4Life for your perspective. I went ahead are ordered them as I prefer retractable cords.
