V_Klay & Patching FAQ

V_Klay is used to edit and or modify your phone flash file. By doing this, you can gain
certain functionalities and removed annoying ones.

Programs and patches used:
-V_Klay
-x65 Flasher
-Sample patch

Disclaimer: Before you start changing your phones firmware, I strongly suggest that
you have full flash backup (firmware, filesystem, EEPROM and bootcore). Use x65 flasher for this procedure.
Create full flash backup.fbk and then separate backups for each subgroup identified above in brackets.
Also do full flash read and save it as A0000000.bin

Using V_Klay
0. Start V_Klay. Set correct parameters: COM port, baud rate and type of booting procedure. S65(password boot)
1. Make sure that “work with phone” is selected.
2. Click on Refresh. Press power ON button on the phone when prompted.
3. Click on open folder icon, and select your desired patch.
4. Click on Apply Patch and wait until uploading is complete.
5. Click on “Green Square” to unload loader before disconnecting the phone.

That’s it. Power up your phone and check if working properly.

Your instructions do not work for me. After I click refresh, I get this message:

"A Hardware I/O error was reported while accessing COM4 – Loader: Open: No answer from boot ChaosKey2.bin."

I saw in your original post under "S66, how can I make it better... " that some file might need to be copied and pasted into my V-Klay installation directory? Is it the A0000000.bin file? How would I do this?

No, that was boot loader that you generate using x65 flasher.
You may need to patch bootcore and generate boot loader using Papua Utils075.

A000.bin is a complete flash dump from your phone in a bin format.

FYI: there's no way to patch bootcore with fw ver.36 and fw ver.41.
You must flash your phone with fw ver.25, patch bootcore with the midlet and then flash to any other firmware ver.

-Make sure that you have correct com port selected.
-Second alternative is to start vkaly and work with part of flash file.
Then you apply patch to that file(A000.bin) and upload patched A000.bin file
with x65 flasher to your phone.
