What phone am I looking for?

I am weighing my options between Cingular and VZW. I now have Nextel and am to switch to one or the other. I've had both before, but when I had Cingular they were still TDMA. Here's what I'm looking for in a phone.

First- Reception. This is the main reason for any phone. I live in a fringe area for Cingular and VZW.

Second- Big Screen. My wife has an i870 and she really likes the screen size. See, size does matter. In looking at VZW, the e815 has a nice sized screen. What is similar with Cingular?

Third- Features are important. My wife wants a camera, although I don't really care.

One final question. On reception, can I expect the same reception with a PDA/BB phone as I would get from a Moto or Nokia?

Reception: RAZR or Nokia might be your best bet.

Screen Size: RAZR again, PDA phone (Treo 650, Cingular 8125), Nokia 6682

Camera: Included on any of the phones listed above.

I haven't done too much RF testing of Cingular's PDA devices, but my gut feeling is that you might get slightly better reception with a RAZR or Nokia 6682.

Didn't even think of the 6682. That looks to be a pretty sweet phone. It lacks the flip, but it does have a nice sized screen and being a Nokia, I'm sure reception is pretty good.

RAZR!!! But don't expect it to be anywhere near as rugged as a Motorola from Nextel.

I would suggest, you go with the Razr. It meets all your requirement. For me, Razr has been the best phone for reception.

yup and razr has a huge screen!!! if u want apocket pc go with the 8125 for sure gl
