Seriously, no one here uses it?

it works wonderfully for me on a P910a with a Cingular Blue SIM in CA, where SEVEN/Smartner seems to be plagued with disconnects. If you have Exchange 03 with SP2 its a great investment.

So everything syncs including contacts and calendar? Does push e-mail work?

I have been using RoadSync on my P910 for several months now, and it has become an application I can not do without. I mainly use it to keep my calendars up to date. It keeps both my Outlook and P910 calendars in sync wirelessly. It works great when you are traveling without a laptop.

It only works via a data connection right? Will it work with wifi?

###########REPOST FROM OTHER FORUM###############

Hi

I am an IT admin, so I am controlling an Exchange 2003 server, and I wanted to get Push email working for a very long time, but all I found was software which will take your email through a 3rd party server, and you pay a monthly fee, like Seven and Blackberry Push email, etc. That was until I found out that Roadsync you can install, and it will hook up with Microsoft Exchange Activesync, and even better, since SP2 of Exchange 2003, Direct push email works too.

I had some trouble setting it up with the SSL protection, but all works now, however I dont find Roadsync a very capable software.

THe issues I see is that the emails are only Synchronized from the Inbox. I have several emails set with a Filter rule to come in to a Specified folder, like Server Monitoring emails (kind of the most important ones), etc. Those emails will never be pushed to the device. Also, I have numerous other folders that I would just love to have access to. I have a 1GB card, so all emails would fit, since roadsync can just download the header only, (or up to 1KB, 5KB, 10KB, or whole emails), and then I can download the message when I need it. But with Roadsync, I dont even see folders other than Inbox. Of course Sent items are not synced either, only if I send something from the mobile, it will be synced to the Server.

Another issue is the Notification. I cannot set a separate sound for this, and anyways, it isnt the Email sound which is responsible for the alert, but rather the Default alarm. I found this out by setting a nice email alert, but I kept getting something else, so I checked in the Sound settings, and I was getting the Tune i set for Default Alarm. Why? hmm..

ALso, when I get a new email, it will only alert with sound, but not with an Icon that I have email waiting, like usually when you get an SMS, or MMS, or email from POP3. Weird.

And last, the smallest issue, which I would never mention if I didnt start this thread, but since I am complaining , here it goes. I dont know why I cannot have the emails be put in another client, lets say ProfiMail, which is way nicer than the built in messaging interface.

Well, all that said I am just looking for your experiences and thoughts, and if I didnt do something right, maybe a bang on the back of my head and a solution.

Thanks

Ben
