Had to laugh

One of my co-workers said something to a customer that made me laugh. When the customer initially called in he stated, "I am computer illiterate, can you explain what this media thing is ?" Her response was "since you are illiterate, you probably wouldn't use it anyway, but I would be happy to tell you about it..." I am certain it was just a Freudian slip, but I couldn't help myself. Later she agreed she should have said "computer illiterate" instead.

I listened to a sales rep as he explained the new "Ion Lithium" batteries to an 85 year old customer upgrading from an old analog phone.
He told this customer that the new batteries start out with half a memory so he needs to let his new phone get about halfway out of charge. He should then plug it in for 10 hours so they memory goes away!
While watching the conversation with amazement... I then had to jump in and end the madness...
When I went to get a bag for his purchase, the rep jumped in again and started talking about international frequencies being 1900 so if he wants to leave the country he'll have no problems. All the customer wanted to know from the beginning is if it was ok to leave it powered off most of the time.
You gotta love new hires... lol

Yeah when I was still sellling I had a coworker who would tell people that the 6010 was only dual-band so it didnt' get as good of a signal as the v180 which was tri-band.
