Just letting everyone know that this is a relatively small, but growing RIM Blackberry support/discussion channel on IRC ( Internet Relay Chat). You can find us on the Efnet network in the channel #Blackberry.
What's also great is that I've been using my jMirc program and it's been awesome. jMirc rocks on the Blackberry 8700c as well as some of the older devices.
I hope this channel grows because it will serve as a resource for instant support/discussion for the growing number of blackberry users.
So once again..feel free to drop by anytime....
#Blackberry on Efnet Network on IRC
(can be accessed through any internet relay chat program including the mobile jMirc)
for anyone new to irc you can find some very useful information at: www.mirc.com
thanks

Another great way to IRC with a blackberry is to use a shell on some server that runs a text based irc client like b'itchX or irssi. You ssh to the shell, fire up the irc client and you are set. If your ssh session get's disconnected for some reason, you simply become detached from the irc session which in turn stays alive so your nick never parts the IRC channels you are in.
