I signed up with Cingular in December 2004. I got a v551 and traded my Sprint phone for a SE T616. My husband used the Moto v180 from February to November 2005, then I used it off and on for a couple months after I got him the Sammy. I bought a RAZR in June 2005. I picked up the c207 in September off the BST. I used my upgrade in December to get the SE w600i. And now I have a 6030, too. I get a new primary phone every six months and seem to buy a cheap backup phone during the intervening months. So, it's looking like I buy a new phone every three months on average. Thank goodness my husband is understanding. He even lets me spend some of his annual bonus on a new phone. Can't wait till June. Time to start making a list of potential phone purchases. Hi, my name is Kris and I'm a phoneaholic. I can't seem to get past the first step. Is there a way to recover from my addiction without giving up cell phones? |

I feel better now, my condition is not that bad. We should set up a Phoneaholics anonymous. It would be a three step program. First step admit that you have a problem. Second step put down the phones, no more new plans. Third step keep your phone for length of contract. (like that would ever happen.). The program would also have several phases of severity. phase 1. would be to change out phones every 4 months. easily cureable. phase 2. change out phones every three months. some difficulty in curing disease. phase 3. change out phones every two months. Phone psycosis, very dangerous phase, cure rate 50 percent. phase 4 . change out phone every month. Phone psycosis is severe, constitutes HOFO ban, no new news. No planning on next phone when you had your new one just one week. May require isolation dependant on phone carrier. phase 5. change out phones every week, or weeks. This would constitute a phone ban, with isolation until psycisois has subsided. I have figured that I get a new phone every four and a half months, maybe five. Wait......I may be wrong on that one. Hmm..eight phones in two years, well make it every three months. That would make me a (phase) 2 phoneaholic, Not that bad. ![]() |
my case is becoming more severe every day help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a few months I plan on getting a K790a and hopefully that will stop this addiction for a year at least. I thought that the W600i would last me years but no. Must go back to candybar.
If you look at my sig pic you will see that before GSM/Cingular, I changed my phone approximently every year or so. I signed up for Cingular in February 2005 and went thru 3 phones ending in December. |

. I was waiting for the 8125, what can I say. Just before I saw this thread I was on my way to post another thread "What's your next device?", so as you can see... We are all in the same pricey, technology driven boat.

But I just can't let go of my Razr! I've been with it for 5 months and even though I have purchased other phones I have gotten rid of them all. There's something about the Razr that I just love and I have kept it. |

If anyone else has any insight on this I would love to hear it. Would there be any way to get cingular video on that phone? Internet, texts, etc? How long does anyone think it will be before cingular is 850 only? I live in IL between Chicago and Milwaukee, WI. Thanks for any info and opinions!

CV is a good service, I am impressed by the speeds in which CV is and the quality. I don't want to go off topic so Ill end it there(there is a discussion on the Powervision vs. CV vs. Vcast services thread). I am never satisfied, now I want the zx20. I don't think you will notice the difference in speed from UMTS to HSDPA on a cell phone, but bluetooth sounds nice. I am thinking I have a problem, most people don't care about such crap, why do I. People at work think I am nuts since I get a new phone all the time. Some recent history: Sept 02 Handspring treo 180, Nov 02 Handspring Treo 270?(can't remember the correct name)April 03 Nokia 6610, Aug 03 Siemens sl56, May 04 inno 55, July 04 Siemens sl65, Sept 04 Sony T637, Feb 05 MPX 220, I used this phone the longest of the bunch, almost a whole year. Feb 06 CJingular 2125, March 06 Samsung zx10.

So whenever she sees me with a new phone i get this look like what is wrong with you. So at least on hofo i seem like much less of an addict. Luckily the w810 is having problems so that it will force me to wait for the US release. But i really don't want to
