bluetooth compatability

does anyone know if a phone with bluetooth version 1.0 will work with a headset of version of 1.2?

It should be compatible. Like USB, Bluetooth is compatible across versions, but will work only as fast as the slowest component (like plugging a USB 2.0 device into a 1.1 port).

I just got off the phone with Siemens tech support and they said a 1.0 phone will not work very well with a 1.2 version headset.... it gives a lot of static between the two devices which is what I'm seeing ... bummer... I loved this phone but now it's starting to suck... Oh yeah, there won't be any more updates to seimens products either since they were bought out .... or at least that's what I was told over the phone.
