Does inbound MMS work?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

As I didn't get any responses from my last post, I thought I ask the simplier question of: whether or not inbound MMS works on either T-Mobile or Cingular? Based on the settings and comments I've found throughout the Sharp forum it seems to be a no? Also does anyone know if this is a specific problem with Sharps or any unlocked phone?

Thanks

What kind of MMS problems do u have specifically? I have T-Mobile and the only problem I have is receiving video msgs. My Picture msgs work both inbound/outbound.

I don't receive any messages, and oddly enough I tried using a T-Mobile SIM with the T-Mobile settings found in the Sharp forum and encountered the same problem. Is there something else you have to do besides inputting the settings in the internet settings sub-menu?

thanks

Make sure you have the MMS and all proxy settings otherwise you won't receive anything. Very Important!

I'm not sure if you'd figured it out yet but read this thread:

Thanks for the link, but I had already tried the settings listed in that thread with the T-Mobile SIM when I had it and no luck. Also it was that thread that got me to write this thread because some ppl claimed inbound MMS worked and some said it didn't. I tried a local Asian phone store and their people think it may have to do with the carriers cracking down on unlocked phones. So I think I'll go back to purchasing OEM phones.
