cinular unbranding problems

I recently aquired a black v3 from a friend and am trying to use it with my local service and have to unlock it or flex/flash it and i flashed it to stock moto monsterpack and it still asks for the subsity code. what else is there to do?

Do a search to view the millions of posts regarding your questions before you are flamed.

Answer: the unbranded flex will not unlock the phone.

I was in the same boat--I had a black V3 from cingular that I wanted to use with my new service (T-Mobile).

First, I paid $25 to unlock it from one of the unlocking services.

Next, I downloaded several utility programs and flashed with the newest monster pack from motomodders (R374_G_0E.42.10R), and then with a T-Mobile branded flex (R374_G_0E.40.9AR). Lastly, I flashed with a US English language pack (R374_G_0E.41.C0R_MXLP0001).

The phone works perfectly with T-mobile, and I have the T-mobile graphics and web-surfing ability.

To my knowledge, simply flashing/flexing a locked (to cingular) phone will not unlock the phone for use with another carrier.
