Possible to get "older" phone with contract discount?

I've had a Motorola t720 for over 2 years now and it's finally crapping out - looking for a phone I stumbled on the Samsung d357 which I like but it lacks a camera. After browsing the forums a bit I think the ideal phone would be the Motorola v635 but it doesn't seem to be offered anymore.
Would Cingular still have these in stock in some remote warehouse and sell them or is my only bet to buy an unlocked phone off Ebay for $100+? Or does anyone have any other suggestions for a comparable style phone to the d357/v635 with a camera?

Cingular never carried the V635, so you'd have to go to Ebay irregardless.
