Hey guys the reason I am posting this thread is because I need help with my S66. I know it does not support mp3s, but I have a MAC computer and I downloaded "Audacity" to convert mp3s to .wav files but is not working it keeps saying "playback failed". This program only allows for an 8-bit, mono, conversion which this might be a problem b/c i read that you are supposed to use 4-bit. Can someone with MAC experience help me out and lead step by step on what to to do. I would really appreciate it.
Thank you

I do it all the time on my Mac. You need a program called SoX Wrap (I don't have the link, but it's really easy to find). Once you get it, here's how to make compatible ringtones.
1. Set Output to ".wav"
2. Set Sample Rate to "16000Hz"
3. Set Data Encoding to "IMA_ADPCM"
4. I usually set Data Size to "bytes," but I'm not sure if it's necessary.
5. Set Channels to "1"
6. (You could do this first, doesn't matter) Drag your mp3 file to the list, or click "Add Files" to open the dialogue box.
7. Click "Run SoX"
8. Copy to phone and test.

Hey man I did what you told me but it seems like it does not " RUN SOX" all the way. What i mean is that it starts running then it quickly says it is finished. Is this OK? And also you told me to copy the file to phone and test, wellcan u let me know how to copy the file to my phone and is there a specific size that the mp3 file should be before i "RUN SOX".
Thank you

As long as it says the operation is complete it should be fine (it's really quick for me, too). There doesn't appear to be a file size limit, as I have a couple on my phone over 500KB. You can copy them over Bluetooth, with the data cable, with IrDA, or with the memory card.
