My court date for speeding ticket is coming soon and some peolpe are telling me to skip the court date and re book for another day.
Is this a good idea.

yes it is usually a good idea because the officer might not show up in the second scheduled date.
but I don't think you can just skip the scheduled court date, you have to let them know in advance.

yea they told me to send somebody to tell them i wont be able to make it.
But would'nt this just anger the cops and make them come anoth time.
BTW generally how long does it take for the second courtdate to appaer.

If you want to delay it, I would suggest making an appointment with the crown and showing proof on why you cant attend. I showed that I had an exam scheduled that day. The reschedule was for 6 months later (past my insurance renewal date) and the cop did show up and I pleaded down to doing 15 over the limit which zero points from the original charge of 39 over the limit. THe second time I had a court date, I went on the original date and the crown asked if anyone wants to plead to a lesser charge, which I did. As for the fine, you have to plead with the justice of peace.
